What is interferential current therapy?

Electrical stimulation treatment is one of the physical therapy method. One commonly known and widely used therapy is called TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). But there’s another stronger, deeper-penetrating method called interferential current therapy.

Interferential current therapy sends small amounts of electrical current through the skin to stimulate the tissues to promote pain relief and healing.

TENS delivers low-frequency current across the surface of the skin, while interferential current therapy delivers a higher frequency current that penetrates deeper into the tissue with less discomfort.
